The Punjabi Class held at the Gurdwara Sikh Sangat, Howrah normally on every Sunday is committed to expand the popularity and use of Punjabi Language as well as its script - Gurmukhi among local Sikh population. The main driving force behind conceiving and developing the idea of Punjabi Class were S. Joginder Singh Johal of Johal Groups, S. Bachan Singh Saral, an eminent journalist & recipient of Banga Bibhushan award and S. Jagmohan Singh Khokhar - a social worker with a difference.
Bibi Raminder Kaur has thankfully taken up the crusade further and is working tirelessly to impart the education of Gurmukhi amongst children through this Punjabi Class since 2011!
